What does “rapaziada” mean in Brazilian Portuguese?

Rapaziada comes from rapaz (“young man”) plus -ada, an ending that turns a word into a group. It means “the guys,” or more loosely “everyone,” whoever is watching or listening. YouTubers and streamers use it constantly: comenta aí, rapaziada! (“comment below, folks!”). It’s friendly and informal, and in practice it includes everyone, not just men.

The same -ada ending makes other group words: criançada (a bunch of kids), moçada (the young crowd), meninada (the kids). Another casual word for a crowd is galera (“the gang”). This clip makes fun of chain-message superstitions: put your hand on your heart, make a wish, like, comment, share, me segue aí, rapaziada, and your wish comes true in seven days.
