What does “부리나케” mean in Korean?
부리나케 (burinake) means doing something in a frantic, headlong rush. It’s often explained as a worn-down form of 불이 나게, “as if on fire” — the popular image being flint struck or a fire-drill stick spun so fast that sparks fly. Whether or not that etymology is exact, it captures the feeling: bolting 부리나케 out the door is moving fast enough to spark a flame.
