Sprytne dziecko przechytrzyło pracownika sali zabaw

What does “przechytrzyć” mean in Polish?
Przechytrzyć is “to outwit” or “outsmart,” and it wears its construction on its sleeve: chytry is “cunning, sly,” and the prefix prze- adds the sense of getting past or beating someone at it — the same prze- as in przegonić (“to outrun”). So a toddler who przechytrzyła pracownika didn’t just fool the attendant, she out-cunninged him. Polish loves building verbs this way, and once you see it you can guess dozens more.
Its partner in the title is sprytny, “clever, resourceful” — the flattering cousin of chytry, which can shade into “sneaky.” A sala zabaw is an indoor play centre (sala, “hall” + zabaw, “of games”), and the clip’s plot is told with textbook narrative verbs: zatrzymał ją (“he stopped her”), powiedział, że jest zamknięta (“said it was closed”), dalej próbowała wejść (“kept trying to get in”), and finally przemknęła do środka — “she slipped inside.”
