What are “sabla” and “kumma” in Omani culture?

Omani Arabic has a word for a piece of architecture that doesn’t quite exist in other Arab homes: سبلة (sabla), a traditional men’s gathering room, often a separate building or wing where neighbours and family meet to drink coffee and talk. Other Gulf states call something similar a majlis, but the Omani sabla has its own physical form and social role.
