What is “Scrooge Live” in Arnhem?

Scrooge Live is a Dutch annual immersive musical production based on Dickens' A Christmas Carol, staged in Park Sonsbeek in Arnhem. The format is genre-defining: instead of a fixed-stage performance, audiences walk through the park visiting different scene-locations (Scrooge’s office, the Cratchit home, the ghost-of-future graveyard) on a guided night-time route. Lights, fog, costumed actors, and live music are scattered across the park’s historical landgoed buildings. Tickets sell out months in advance, and Dutch families treat Scrooge Live as a Christmas-week ritual on par with Sinterklaas events.
